Real Estate Transfers.--The following transfers of real estate have taken place in this county, as recorded in the Clerk's office for the week ending April 15th.

News, Frederick, Maryland, January 4, 1894.

Married on Thursday, December 28, 1893, at the Presbyterian Church in New Windsor, by Rev. F. J. CROSS, Mr. Arthur C. SMELSER to Miss Lulu CARLISLE, only daughter of Absolem CARLISLE,all of New Windsor.  The wedding party was preceded by two handsomely dressed little flower girls, Miss Winnie HAMPLER and Miss Lenora BANKARD.  The wedding march was rendered by Mrs. John SMELSER.  The maids of honor were Misses Johannah KLEEFISCH and Carrie STOUFFER.  The ushers were Messrs J. Walter GETTY, Louis E. STOUFFER, L. Earl CARLISLE and Leslie SMELSER.  The bridal party left on the 4 o'clock train for Baltimore, Washington &c.


News Frederick, Maryland, February 17, 1894.

ANOTHER HANGING

In the history of the executions in Frederick county in yesterday's News, the hanging of Granville SMELSER was accidentally omitted.  SMELSER was executed in July, 1864, for the murder of Mrs. NUSBAUM and her two grandchildren, near Oak Orchard.  Gen. John A. STINER was sheriff at the time.
