Know all men by these Presents, that I Elizabeth Smelzer of Ripley County
Missouri have made constituted and appointed Robert L. Elison of Murray of
Calloway County of Kentucky my true and lawful attorney for me and in my
name place and stead to enter into and take possession of all the Real
Estate belonging to me as dower. Section Twenty three Township 2 Range
5 East Dower 160 Acres and also North West quarter of Section Ten Township 2
Range 4 East containing 160 Acres and a part of the South West quarter of 10
Township 2 Range 4 East containing 46 Acres or any other land in the state
of Kentucky the above described land is situated in the County of Callaway
in the State of Kentucky and to bargain grant sell convey and confirm the
whole or any part there of for such price or sum of money or any such Terms
as he may think best and for me and in my name to make execute acknowledge
and deliver into the purchases or purchasee thereof good and sufficient
conveyances with warrenty of the same and to demand Receive and collect all
sums of money which shall be come due and payable to me by reason of such
sale or sales Giving and granting unto my said attorney full power and
authority to do and perform all and every act and thing whatsoever requisite
and necessary to be done in and about the premises as fully to all intents
and purposes as I might or could no if personally present with full power
and substitution and revocation hereby ratifying and confirming all that my
said attorny or his substitute shall lawfully do or cause to be done by
virtue here of.
In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of
March On Thousand Eight hundred and fifty nine.

Hundred and fifty nine personally came Elizbeth Smelzer to me well known
to be the person described and who executed the foregoing letter or Power
of Atorney and acknowledged the above letters of attorney to be her act
and Deed. In testimoney where of I have herein to set my hand and
affixed my seal of Office the day and year late above written.
