***NOTES*** Mary Smelser was b 30 Jun 1781 and is the daughter of Peter Smelser
and Barbara Garnhart. She and John Smeltser were cousins. It is a guess by
Polly Pollock that John is the son of Jacob Smeltzer who died in Miami Co. OH in 1839 or
1840. Mary is buried in Martin's Cemetery in Elizabeth Township, Miami County, OH.
Peter Smelser predeceased John having died 19 July 1830. The descendants of
John went mainly to Indiana (Muncie,Baleville, Blountsville,) (Henry Co, IN) (Delaware Co,
IN). There is more on this family in Polly Pollock's book.
