Harmon & Elizabeth? or John David and Florrie?
We need help with this photo! We believe this to be either Harmon and Elizabeth Smelser or their son John David and Florrie Smelser. Can anyone identify these people for sure? This photo was taken in San Saba, Texas. Notice the rock building in the background. Most houses and buildings built in early San Saba were made of this stone. There are still MANY of them there today. I visited there 2 summers ago but didn't even know there were Smelser folks from there. Next time I get there, I will take some photos of the tombstones of the Smelser folks buried there. My guess is this photo is of John David and Florrie as Harmon died in 1859 and this photo doesn't look that old. Contact me
